Frank Larkey, PhD has over twenty years of experience in scientific research, product-design, and statistical/ organizational analysis in both business and university settings. Dr. Larkey is the President of the Reed Larkey Research Group (RLG), an independent consulting firm which provides consulting services in leadership, executive development, succession planning, organizational development, testing and assessment, knowledge management, and applied research. RLG specializes in the development of customized individual, group and organization assessment tools within organizations. His corporate clients have included Guardian Savings, Compaq Computers, Right Management Associates, Cooper Cameron, Schlumberger, Gates Rubber, Shell Oil, Birkman International, The Baptist General Convention of Texas , St. Luke's Episcopal Health Care Systems, Kelsey Seybold Clinics and Cooper Industries.
In addition to research within organizations, Dr. Larkey has led several cross-cultural assessment studies including a project with the Methodist University in Sao Paulo , Brazil , and directed the German, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian and Portuguese translations of the Birkman questionnaire for Birkman International. He is currently conducting ongoing reliability studies for the Spanish and Portuguese translations of The Birkman Method ® , and his firm in conducting cross-cultural leadership studies in partnership with The Baptist General Convention of Texas .
As a partner in Schweiger-Larkey Research Group, Dr. Larkey manages the product-design and development, research, and cultural assessment areas.
At the University of Houston , Dr. Larkey taught courses in Cognitive Psychology, Child Development, Neural Networks, Human Memory, Statistics, Cognitive Science, and Art and Cognition. As an adjunct professor with Houston Baptist University 's Professional Master of Business Program he taught Transformational Leadership and conducted research.
Dr. Larkey is currently seeking his Master's of Divinity at the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University. His goal is to combine his theological education with his psychology and research background to create comprehensive moral development applications and training for leaders.
He is a member of the American Psychological Society, American Statistical Association, the Houston Neuropsychological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature.
